Everton under 21 coach David Weir is set to leave the club to take over as manager of Sheffield United. Weir who played 269 games for the blues during an 8 year spell before leaving for Rangers in 2007 returned to the club as a coach in 2012.
We wish Weir the best of luck in his new role.

It has been announced that Roberto Martinez has now officially been named as our new manager after signing a 4 year deal. He will be unveiled at the press conference this afternoon.
Welcome Martinez.
Everton have issued an apology to the fans over the new badge, they announced that although it is too late to change it before the 2013-2014 season it will be redesigned ahead of next season. But this time a range of fans will be asked about their opinions on the potential new badge.

Everton will be heading stateside for a pre-season tour. We will face 3 of the biggest names in football in a 3 city tour, which will take pace at the end of July and beginning of August.
Everton will face three teams out of; Juventus, LA Galaxy, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Chelsea, Benfica & Real Madrid in the International Champions Cup.
The first game will be in San Francisco on Tuesday 30th July, then Saturday 3rd August the Blues will be in Los Angeles before taking part in a third game in Miami on either Tuesday 6th or Wednesday 7th.
